Once again, this summer term our Partner Dr. Sebastian Louven will hold his lecture on European Telecommunication Law at Freie Universität Berlin. The lecture is part of the wellknown postgraduate LLM programme Master of European and International Business, Competition and Regulatory Law (MBL-FU). The programme adresses lawyers and economists with already some experience. It contains several exciting modules on competition theory and policy, competition law and IP law. Subsequently, it offers the opportunity to specialise in telecommunications or energy.
This year, a few addet aspects will arise relating to the lecture. These include, on the one hand, areas of state aid law, which is particularly interesting in the case of public funded broadband deployment. On the other hand, the draft of a GIA, the Gigabit Infrastructure Act, was recently leaked. Otherwise, typical focal points from the EECC and the TSM regulation are addressed, as well as market regulation, security law and customer protection.
The current schedule for this term is available here via the university website. The European Telecommunication Law course will take place on 8 and 9 June 2023 from 10:00 to 18:00 each day.
