Sebastian Louven holds lecture assignment on European Telecommunication Law at FU Berlin

Once again, this sum­mer term our Part­ner Dr. Sebas­ti­an Lou­ven will hold his lec­tu­re on Euro­pean Tele­com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on Law at Freie Uni­ver­si­tät Ber­lin. The lec­tu­re is part of the well­known post­gra­dua­te LLM pro­gram­me Mas­ter of Euro­pean and Inter­na­tio­nal Busi­ness, Com­pe­ti­ti­on and Regu­la­to­ry Law (MBL-FU). The pro­gram­me adres­ses lawy­ers and eco­no­mists with alre­a­dy some expe­ri­ence. It con­ta­ins seve­ral exci­ting modu­les on com­pe­ti­ti­on theo­ry and poli­cy, com­pe­ti­ti­on law and IP law. Sub­se­quent­ly, it offers the oppor­tu­ni­ty to spe­cia­li­se in tele­com­mu­ni­ca­ti­ons or energy.

This year, a few addet aspects will ari­se rela­ting to the lec­tu­re. The­se include, on the one hand, are­as of sta­te aid law, which is par­ti­cu­lar­ly inte­res­t­ing in the case of public fun­ded broad­band deploy­ment. On the other hand, the draft of a GIA, the Giga­bit Infra­struc­tu­re Act, was recent­ly lea­k­ed. Other­wi­se, typi­cal focal points from the EECC and the TSM regu­la­ti­on are addres­sed, as well as mar­ket regu­la­ti­on, secu­ri­ty law and cus­to­mer protection.
