We Continue to Support Bielefeld University’s Vis Moot Team in 2026/27

For seve­ral years, we have sup­port­ed Bie­le­feld University’s team par­ti­ci­pa­ting in the Wil­lem C. Vis Inter­na­tio­nal Com­mer­cial Arbi­tra­ti­on Moot. We were the­r­e­fo­re plea­sed when the new Bie­le­feld team approa­ched us again, and we have rene­wed our sup­port for the 2026/27 competition.

The Wil­lem C. Vis Moot brings tog­e­ther stu­dents from uni­ver­si­ties around the world. Teams work on a case invol­ving inter­na­tio­nal com­mer­cial law and arbi­tra­ti­on, prepa­re writ­ten sub­mis­si­ons in Eng­lish and sub­se­quent­ly argue their case in oral hearings.

It is pre­cis­e­ly this com­bi­na­ti­on of inten­si­ve legal work, rigo­rous argu­ment and inter­na­tio­nal exch­an­ge that makes the Vis Moot such a distinc­ti­ve form of legal edu­ca­ti­on. We are plea­sed to con­ti­nue sup­port­ing it.

Our sup­port also reflects a per­so­nal con­nec­tion with Bie­le­feld Uni­ver­si­ty: our part­ner Dr Vere­na Lou­ven stu­di­ed law and com­ple­ted her doc­to­ra­te there.

We are the­r­e­fo­re plea­sed to sup­port Bie­le­feld University’s par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on again this year and wish the new team a rewar­ding pre­pa­ra­ti­on peri­od and every suc­cess in the competition.
